East Coast Swing with John McEuen

My east coast dates with John McEuen were filled with surprises and great music. I was so honored to play a duet with the great David Amram in New York. We performed Pastures of Plenty, the iconic song written by David’s old friend, Woody Guthrie. From there, John and I traveled to Vienna,VA where we hooked up with original NGDB bassist, Les Thompson. Our opening act turned out to be Molly O’Brien and Rich Moore. What a nice surprise! It had been several years since our paths last crossed. We ended up at a SRO show in Sarasota,Fl, John’s current hometown. My big brother, who hasn’t seen a show of mine in 30 years was on hand and, luckily, he saw a good one. Two new shows with the great John McEuen and Matt Cartsonis – Sept. 12 and 13

Former bandmate and founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, John McEuen has invited me to come out and play with former Warren Zevon bandleader and all-around great musician and human being, Matt Cartsonis. Fun! September 12th at the Hideaway in St. Petersburg, Fl Sept. 13th – Naples, Fl (info to come) EP due in a few weeks! I have been working non-stop on the new project with the great Billy Gewin engineering, playing and co-producing. Billy is amazing and a joy to work with.
